Tocadéo is the coming together of four passionate singers who share a love of vocal melodies and harmonies selected from a moving and memorable repertoire. This passion, along with their love of music, their friendship and the pleasure they have together on stage, led Dany Laliberté, René Lajoie, Benoit Miron and Patrick Olafson to form a vocal quartet in the fall of 2008.
Tocadéo’s first self-titled album, produced by Guy St-Onge, was released 2010. It included hits like « L’effet papillon » and « Pour l’amour qu’il nous reste ». In 2012, a second album, this time produced by Romano Musumarra, was released: Au nom des hommes. It included the radio hit « Dis-moi comment », the song « Ave Maria », and the song « Au nom des hommes » written by Mario Pelchat specifically for Tocadéo. In 2013, the group released its Christmas album and over 20,000 copies were sold. Since, their “Spectacle de Noël” has become an annual must.
But it’s on stage that you can really see the full extent of the talent and success of Tocadéo. In 6 years, the group gave over 200 performances of his first 3 shows, all across Quebec, New Brunswick, Ontario, in France and even in Romania. Everywhere, fans show up, making Tocadéo a secure venture for promoters who invited the guys back again and again.
With their first three albums selling over 40,000 copies, Tocadéo has earned a place on the Quebec music scene by gaining recognition among a growing fan base.
The «Ils chantent Elles» Show
With their fourth album, Ils chantent Elles, TOCADÉO revisits some of the greatest hits of women songwriters, composers and singers of La Francophonie.
Songs by Ginette Reno, Edith Piaf, Lara Fabian, Céline Dion and Natasha St-Pierre like « Je ne suis qu’une chanson », « Je t’aime » and « L’hymne à l’amour », skillfully harmonized for 4 males voices.
With memorable duets with Marie-Élaine Thibert, Diane Tell, Marie-Denise Pelletier, Annie Villeneuve and Renée Wilkin (“La Voix”, Quebec version of the “The Voice”), this album is unique and appreciated by TOCADÉO fans.
